Our Training Programme
Our multi-agency workshop begins by introducing the key facts and issues surrounding prisoners’ families. This enables delegates to gain an insight into the emotions and feelings of prisoners’ families.
We encourage partnership working therefore, the local Probation officer and Prison officer are invited for their input.
To conclude the workshop action planning takes place encouraging practitioners to look forward to establish how they might champion the issues within their agency, how they might be able to use the resources to support families and how they are able to link effectively with the local Criminal Justice partners. The team at Thames Valley Partnership offer support in taking the work forward.
Tailored workshops (with specialised resources, focus and materials) have been delivered to the Prison Service, Probation Service, practitioners working in educational services and even to Key Stage 2 school children!
Some delegate feedback from our training …
‘Excellent, very enjoyable – it was really informative and thought-provoking’
‘Practical and useful information and ideas’
‘Resources help me to empathise with the families of prisoners’
