Moving Forward

The Partnership is currently involved in a new piece of work, supported by The LankellyChase Foundation, around young people who have experience in some way of domestic abuse and may subsequently have resulting issues themselves with violence or abuse in their own relationships.

The opening event in Oxfordshire in October 2010 brought together a variety of delegates (YOTS, schools, youth services, health professionals etc) as potential partners on this piece of work.    From these,  5 key groups were  identified to work with us  on a pilot of preventional individual and group work with young people, using in the main a variety of artistic and creative approaches.

The 5 key groups are from:  Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead and West Berkshire, each consisting of a varied mix of agencies who work with vulnerable young people.   There are two strands to the project – staff training in creative approaches for all professionals from the partner agencies and direct delivery to young people.  The project is  due for completion towards the start of 2012, followed by publication of an evaluation report and a dissemination event on March 21st 2012.
