Welcome to the Thames Valley Partnership

The Thames Valley Partnership brings people and organisations together to create safe and stronger communities through sustainable solutions to the problems of crime and social exclusion. We work within partnership with practitioners from criminal justice sector, local authorities, voluntary and community organisations and the private sector.

    THE THAMES VALLEY PARTNERSHIP’S JOURNEY

As a tribute to Sue  Raikes’ achievements during her ten years as Chief  Executive of the Thames Valley Partnership, the Partnership arranged a conference in March 2008 to mark her retirement and to review its progress and achievements over the 15 years of its existence.  David Faulkner, one of the Trustees, has compiled a report of the conference with the title Community Safety and Community Justice - the Thames Valley Partnership’s Journey, 1993 - 2008.

As well as describing the main aspects of the Partnership’s work, the report considers  questions such as the relationships and dynamics. and the influences and motivation, which are involved in work to prevent and reduce crime and improve the lives of those who are affected by it, and the features which contribute to success or disappointment.
